How our Laptop Repairs work

Booking a laptop repair with Odyssey could not be easier. The following is a step by step guide to getting your laptop repaired as swiftly and cost effectively as possible. Odyssey provide two levels of service for machine and component repairs:

1. Emergency Repairs:
You can book an Emergency repair with us online by clicking here - and selecting the Emergency repair service option on page 2. Emergency repairs from Odyssey are normally a 3 to 5 day service. If you have a more urgent requirement please contact our sales team on 01252 721 821.
The cost of the Emergency service is a fixed £55.00, and covers the cost of inspection and a report by our engineers that will tell you what repairs and parts will be required - and how quickly your machine can be repaired and delivered back to you.

2. Standard booking:
You can book a Standard repair with us online by clicking here - and selecting the Standard repair service option on page 2. Standard repairs from Odyssey are normally a 5 to 7 day service. If you have a more urgent requirement please select the Emergency repair service, or contact our sales team on 01252 721 821.
The cost of the Standard service is a fixed £35.00, and covers the cost of inspection and a report by our engineers that will tell you what repairs and parts will be required - and how quickly your machine can be repaired and delivered back to you.

What happens next?

Once you have completed the on-line booking form you will be given a confirmation of booking email through PayPal. (Once we have received the machine into our Service Centre we will issue a repair reference number for all subsequent enquiries).

You will have paid only for the cost of inspection by booking online with us.

Inspection

Once your machine is received into our Service Centre, our technicians will label and tag it to ensure that the machine and any parts that you provide to us are kept together. We will then inspect the machine to establish where the fault may be, and what the best and most effective repair solution is for you.

Report

We will review any parts requirements and complete an inspection report together with a cost estimate including labour, parts and VAT. This report will be emailed to you for your approval before we make any repairs.

Payment for repair.

Only when you have received our report and a written quotation will you be asked to pay for the repair. Typically we will call you to discuss the report and request your payment for the repair.

Repair

Once we have received your payment over the telephone, we will begin your repair. All repairs are completed by our technicians at our Service Centre, and are inspected thoroughly before completion.

Delivery

We will arrange for suitable delivery to you once the repairs are completed to our satisfaction and all tests have passed quality inspection. Delivery is usually made to the same address that we collected the machine from (Please specify any special delivery instructions to us when you book your repair).
